On January 30, during the Maha Kumbh 2025, devotees and pilgrims continued to flock to the ghats of Prayagraj, with a steady flow of people arriving for the holy dip. Despite the heavy crowds on the previous day during the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya, many pilgrims chose to bathe on Thursday, coinciding with the Pratipada of Gupt Navratri. From the sacred Triveni Sangam to various temporary and permanent ghats, the streets and riverside were alive with spiritual fervor.
The local administration’s preparations were evident as all ghats, including the Triveni Sangam, were fully equipped to handle the massive influx. As the devotees gathered, chants of ‘Har-Har Mahadev,’ ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ and ‘Modi-Yogi’ resonated through the air, underscoring the devotional atmosphere. Many pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the well-organized arrangements provided by the administration.
Devotees Praise Administration’s Response And Disaster Management
Throughout the day, the administration received praise for its swift disaster management, which helped prevent any major incidents. Devotees lauded the efforts of both the Mela administration and the Yogi government for maintaining order amidst the large crowds.

The administration had previously urged people to remain patient and take precautions during peak bathing days, such as Basant Panchami, Magh Purnima, and Mahashivratri.
Despite the exhaustion from their long journeys, the devotion of the pilgrims remained unwavering. Along with the Sangam Nose, large crowds gathered at the raw and paved bathing ghats on the Jhunsi and Arail sides. The sacred chants and slogans filled the air, further intensifying the spiritual atmosphere.
Devotees Credit Government Leadership For Successful Event
Many pilgrims attributed the smooth management of the event to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The ‘double-engine government,’ as some devotees called it, was credited for elevating the spiritual experience and promoting Sanatan values.
Mukesh Bhagat, who traveled from Nagpur with his family, shared that although he faced difficulties reaching Kila Ghat from the Arail side due to the crowd, the moment he dipped in the holy river, he felt a rush of new energy.
Similarly, Ghanshyam from Panipat expressed that participating in the sacred event was a blessing from his ancestors, while Ramavatar Chaudhary from Sikar, Rajasthan, remarked that the cold waters of the Ganga washed away his fatigue and worries.
Pilgrims’ Faith And Devotion Shine Amidst Hardships
Despite the challenges, including long journeys and physical exhaustion, the faces of devotees reflected peace and joy after taking the holy dip. Many pilgrims arrived weary, some with blisters on their feet, but their faith and the divine experience at the ghats rejuvenated their spirits.
Conclusion: A Seamless Experience For All
The administration’s well-coordinated efforts, coupled with the unwavering devotion of millions, ensured a smooth and peaceful experience at the Maha Kumbh. As the event continues, both local and international devotees continue to express their gratitude for the seamless arrangements and the opportunity to participate in this sacred event.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 stands as a testament to the power of meticulous planning and strong leadership in ensuring a safe and spiritually enriching experience for all.
