Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Friday that the opposition alliance’s strength is making the government nervous and that INDIA bloc allies should brace themselves for vendetta politics, with greater misuse of agencies against them.
In a speech to the opposition meeting, Kharge launched a direct attack on the government, claiming that the racial poison fostered by the BJP and RSS over the previous nine years is now manifesting itself in hate crimes against innocent train passengers and school children.
His apparent reference was to cases including a railway police constable fatally shooting individuals on board a train and a teacher at a Muzaffarnagar school instructing students to smack a Muslim classmate for failing to complete his homework.
In his opening remarks, Kharge stated that the success of the meetings in Patna and Bengaluru can be measured by the fact that the prime minister has not only attacked INDIA but has also compared the name of our beloved country with a terrorist organization and a symbol of slavery.
“We should brace ourselves for more attacks, raids, and arrests in the coming months as a result of this government’s vendetta politics. The more ground our alliance gains the more the BJP government will misuse agencies against our leaders”, Kharge added.
