Jammu and Kashmir Cops To Question Gujarat Conman’s Aides

The Jammu and Kashmir police have summoned two accomplices of a conman from Gujarat who pretended to be a senior official from the Prime Minister’s Office. While conman Kiran Bhai Patel was apprehended, Gujarat residents Amit Hitesh Pandya and Jay Sitapara were let go.

Amit Hitesh Pandya is the son of a Gujarat Chief Minister’s office official. “They are being investigated. They could have been duped by a conman”, According to a police officer, this is why they were not arrested.

The conspirators were a part of the official team headed by Kiran Bhai Patel, who had conned the security and government of Jammu and Kashmir by securing Z-plus security cover, official lodging at a five-star hotel, and many other things.

Statement by Public Relations Officer at the Gujarat Chief Minister’s office

Hitesh Padya, Public Relations Officer at the Gujarat Chief Minister’s office, said his son has been summoned for questioning by police in Srinagar. He denied that his son had done anything wrong.

Public Relations Officer at the Gujarat Chief Minister’s office stated, “My son has my complete trust. He would never engage in such activity”.

“I’m not sure what the cops have written about him. I don’t want to comment on anything I don’t understand. I would have shared any solid information with you if I had it”, He went on to say.

The police kept the conman’s arrest, which occurred on March 2, 2023, under wraps. Its details were only revealed after a magistrate sentenced him to judicial custody last week.

According to the officer, three of the conman’s accomplices escaped. “We let them go for a few days before calling them in for another examination. We are investigating everyone, including police officers and others, who may have information about the conman’s activities”, said the officer.

The police claim Amit’s father has nothing to do with the situation. “Amit’s age is 45. He runs his own business, and his father has no involvement with him”, said one of the officers.

In addition to Amit Hitesh Pandiya and Jay Sitapara, Trilok Singh from Rajasthan was staying with Patel at a five-star hotel in Srinagar and impersonating an official team from the Prime Minister’s Office.
