International conference on woman health from Feb 2

Diabetes is a major disease burden in India, and we are home to the second-largest number of diabetes cases in the world. In 2017, there were over 72 million cases of diabetes in India.

Under the  aegis of the Diabetes Education Foundation  (DEF) a  three days  International conference on Women’s Metabolic, Endocrine, and Nutrition  WOMENCON-2024, is going to organized  at hotel Kanha  Shyam from February 2.

Giving the above information while talking to media persons  organizing chairperson Dr.Sarita Bajaj, former  HOD of Medicine MLN Medical College, Prayagraj,  said that the said conference will be inaugurated on February 3. The   chief guest will be Dr. Silver Bahendeka , will inaugurate the conference.

Dr. Bahendeka  senior consultant endocrinologist, St Francis Hospital in Kampala, Uganda and Dr. SP Singh, Principal of MLN Medical College, Prayagraj, will be the Guest of Honour. Dr Mangal Singh, Principal of UIMS, Prayagraj, will be the special guest.

She further said that  diabetes is a major disease burden in India, and we are home to the second-largest number of diabetes cases in the world. In 2017, there were over 72 million cases of diabetes in India. Obesity can be defined simply as the disease in which excess body fat has accumulated to such an extent that health may be adversely affected.

The conference  Organizing Secretary   Prof . Amrita Chaurasia, HOD Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology MLN Medical College, addressing the gathering said that the conference aims to view Metabolic and Endocrine health through the gender lens for the welfare of the entire family, the community, and generations to come.

The scientific program will be highly stimulating and interactive providing an opportunity to exchange new ideas and technology, a potpourri of not only what is new, but also what is relevant in routine clinical practice. The deliberations will go a long way in fulfilling the needs of Physicians to provide better care for their patients.

Similarly Dr Anubha Srivastava, participants can enrich their knowledge through interaction with eminent Professors, Scientists, and Scholars and discuss both common and uncommon problems that can adapted in practice. It is for the first time that such a conference of this import is being held. Participants can enrich their knowledge through interaction with eminent experts, scientists, and clinicians.
