The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) held a significant meeting at Urdu Ghar in New Delhi today to commemorate its upcoming 23rd Foundation Day on December 24. Shri Indresh Kumar, the organization’s mentor, chaired the meeting, which was attended by national conveners, senior officials, and cell heads. The gathering focused on drafting MRM’s future strategies and discussing pressing national issues.
Notably, prominent participants included Mohammad Afzal, Dr Shahid Akhtar, Abu Bakar Naqvi, Virag Pachpore, Dr Majid Talikoti, and other key leaders.
Significantly, the MRM strongly endorsed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement on temple-mosque disputes. A unanimous resolution highlighted the need for development and harmony over historical conflicts. Moreover, the platform praised Bhagwat’s remarks, where he criticized the search for mosques beneath temples as unnecessary and urged for societal unity among India’s 1.42 billion people.
Furthermore, the MRM appealed to political parties to avoid using such issues for electoral gains and focus on maintaining peace and brotherhood.
Additionally, the MRM expressed support for the central government’s proposed Waqf Board Amendment Bill. The platform emphasized the importance of preventing misuse of Waqf properties and ensuring their proper management to benefit widows, orphans, and the underprivileged.
Similarly, addressing Muslims in Sambhal and Bangladesh, the MRM encouraged reflection on Bhagwat’s message of unity. It also condemned atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh and urged the government to safeguard their rights.
In conclusion, the MRM emphasized national unity and brotherhood. It urged minorities to adopt a positive outlook and participate in the country’s development under the “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” policy. Finally, the meeting finalized plans to raise awareness on national issues and involve Indian Muslims in nation-building initiatives.
