CM Yogi Extends Diwali Wishes; Joins Nishad Community In Ayodhya Celebrations

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended warm Diwali greetings on Monday, calling the festival a symbol of eternal truth and righteousness.

He invoked the spiritual meaning of Diwali as a celebration of light over darkness and a moment of national unity and resurgence.

People across the country celebrate Diwali, one of India’s most cherished festivals, with immense enthusiasm.

People light earthen lamps and candles, perform prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, and gather with loved ones to mark the occasion with joy and gratitude.

Yogi’s Diwali Message

Sharing his wishes on social media, the Chief Minister said, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the grand festival of Diwali, the sacred symbol of the eternal victory of truth, the eternal righteousness and positivity! The festival of lights is not merely a ritual of lighting lamps, but a beacon of hope in the soul, a pulse of harmony in society, and a resolve for national resurgence.”

He continued, “May the grace of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Janaki illuminate not only our homes but also our hearts, and may the lamp of faith, enthusiasm and zeal be kindled in everyone’s life.”

Celebrating with the Community

CM Yogi, currently in Ayodhya for Deepotsav 2025, will visit Kandharpur Ward-1 to celebrate Diwali with the Nishad community.

He will further interact with residents, distribute fruits and sweets, and personally extend his Diwali greetings.

Later, he will also visit Mattagajendra Devkali Ward to meet members of the Dalit community and share similar Diwali offerings and blessings.

This year marks the ninth edition of Deepotsav in Ayodhya. A record 26,11,101 diyas are set to illuminate 56 ghats along the banks of the Saryu River.

The event features participation from 33,000 volunteers, 2,100 Vedic scholars, and 1,100 drones, creating a vibrant fusion of devotion, tradition and modern technology.

The grand scale of the celebrations reflects Ayodhya’s rising prominence as a spiritual and cultural tourism destination.

By celebrating Diwali with the Nishad and Dalit communities, CM Yogi reinforces the inclusive and unifying spirit of the festival.

His message and actions highlight Diwali not only as a time for lights and rituals but also as a call for togetherness, compassion, and reflection.

As lamps light up Ayodhya and beyond, the Chief Minister brings a powerful message through his presence — Diwali’s light must reach every home and every heart.
