The recently concluded International Soft Tennis Championship at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Gautam Budh Nagar witnessed a remarkable achievement for Indian players.
For the first time in 25 years, India clinched the gold medal, marking a historic moment in the country’s soft tennis journey.
The event gained further significance with the presence of renowned spiritual guru Acharya Pramod Krishnam, whose participation added a special touch to the occasion.
Chairman of Soft Tennis UP, Abhishek Kaushik, took to social media to extend a heartfelt welcome to Acharya Pramod Krishnam, acknowledging his positive influence on the event.
He wrote, “Hearty welcome and congratulations to spiritual guru Acharya Pramod Krishnam ji! Your presence has brought dedication and positive energy to this event.”
Outstanding Performance By Indian Players
Indian players showcased exceptional talent throughout the championship.
In the men’s doubles event, the pair of Jai Meena and Yogesh triumphed with a 5-1 victory over Gujarat’s Aniket Patel and Vansh, securing the coveted gold medal.

Jai Meena also made history by winning the gold medal in men’s singles, marking India’s first-ever gold in this category.
The Indian team ended the competition with five medals, including gold, silver, and bronze in men’s doubles, as well as a bronze in women’s doubles.

Expressing his joy over India’s success, Acharya Pramod Krishnam shared his thoughts on social media: “I got a wonderful opportunity to meet players from different countries in the International Soft Tennis Competition.
