Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condemnation of the attack on US Presidential candidate Donald Trump, emphasizing that violence has no place in political discourse. In a statement on social media, PM Modi wrote: “I am deeply concerned and distressed by the attack on my friend, former President Donald Trump. I strongly condemn this incident and reiterate that violence has no place in politics and democratic processes.”

PM Modi extended his wishes for Trump’s speedy recovery and offered condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, as well as the American people. His statement comes after Trump was injure in a shooting incident at an election rally in western Pennsylvania, just a day before the Republican Party’s convention.

The Secret Service has confirmed that protective measures are in place, and Trump is safe. According to his communications director, Steven Cheung, Trump is receiving medical attention at a local facility and is reports to be fine. PM Modi’s condemnation of the attack reflects the importance of peaceful political engagement and the need to reject violence in all its forms.
