Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the government’s sustained focus on employment generation is opening new opportunities for young Indians, both at home and abroad, as sectors such as animation and digital media help position India as a global hub.
Addressing the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela via video conference, the Prime Minister underlined how India’s demographic advantage is aligning with emerging industries driven by creativity, innovation and technology.
“Today, India is one of the youngest countries in the world. It is the continuous effort of our government that new opportunities are created for India’s youth power within the country and across the world,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister highlighted that India’s engagement with the global economy is creating fresh employment avenues. He said trade and mobility agreements signed with several countries are directly benefiting the youth by expanding access to international markets and jobs.
“Today, the Government is signing trade and mobility agreements with many countries. These trade agreements are bringing numerous new opportunities for the youth of India,” the Prime Minister stated.
Digital, Infrastructure And Start-Ups Driving Jobs
PM Modi said India’s digital push has led to the emergence of a new economy, with creative sectors witnessing rapid growth.
“Digital India has expanded a new economy. In many fields such as animation and digital media, India is becoming a global hub,” PM Modi noted, adding that the creator economy is expanding quickly and offering new avenues for young professionals.
“India’s creator economy is growing at a very fast pace, and in this too, youth are getting new opportunities,” he explained. The Prime Minister also pointed to large investments in modern infrastructure, saying these projects have boosted employment across construction and allied sectors.
He further highlighted the growth of the start-up ecosystem, noting that there are around two lakh registered start-ups in the country employing more than 21 lakh youth, reflecting rising entrepreneurship and a supportive policy environment.
