The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is back in front of the 77th Independence Day after a hugely successful debut last year. It once again started on August 13 and will last for three days until August 15, when India will celebrate 76 years of independence.
Similar to the previous edition, locals can show their support for the campaign by flying the Tiranga (tricolor) in front of their residences and posting selfies with the flag on social media.
Where can you upload a selfie holding the flag?
People can upload their selfies with the national flag to the website harghartiranga.com, as suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet on X (previously Twitter).
How do you upload a selfie with the national flag?
1. Go to harghartiranga.com.
2. Click on ‘UPLOAD SELFIE WITH FLAG.
3. Next, enter your name and upload the image by tapping the ‘Browse Files’ button.
4. Give permission to the portal to use your name and photo on the platform.
5. Finally, click on ‘Submit.’
Find your selfie
After selecting “Selfies” in the top right corner, type your name. If it doesn’t appear, you can view it beginning on August 16 at 8 a.m.
More than 60 million (6 crore) selfies have been posted on the website as of today. The Government of India’s Ministry of Culture is in charge of the initiative.
