HM Amit Shah Slams Opposition; Pitches BJP As Guardian Of National Interest

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing nearly 4,000 BJP workers in Bihar’s Bhagalpur, Kosi, and Seemanchal regions, delivered a spirited call for unity and commitment ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Shah contrasted the BJP’s approach with that of opposition parties, stating, “While opposition leaders fight for their own seats, BJP workers fight for the nation.”

He emphasised that the BJP’s campaign is not just an electoral exercise but a mission to secure Bihar’s future under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Taking aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shah accused them of prioritising personal and party interests over national welfare.

“For Lalu Yadav, the election is about making his son the Chief Minister; for Rahul Gandhi, it is about reviving his party. For us, it is about driving out infiltrators from Bihar,” he declared.

He urged party workers to focus on winning all constituencies, especially Kishanganj, which the NDA lost in the 2020 elections.

Pledge for Decisive Action

Amit Shah assured that if the NDA is given a two-thirds majority, the government will take strong measures to remove infiltrators.

“Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi’s parties want to protect them, but we will expel them one by one,” he said.

Shah linked the upcoming elections to the broader issue of national security, asserting that the NDA government would ensure voting rights remain with genuine Indian citizens only.

Highlighting the PM Modi government’s welfare initiatives, Shah said, “The first Diwali celebrates Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya; the second marks PM Modi sending ₹10,000 each to 75 lakh Jeevika Didis; the third celebrates the reduction of GST on over 395 items; and the fourth will mark the NDA’s victory in Bihar.”

He added that the election represents a choice between “development under PM Modi and chaos under the Opposition.”

Shah warned voters against the return of misrule, saying, “This election is to ensure that ‘Lalu Raj’ and ‘Jungle Raj’ never return.” He accused the previous Congress-RJD governments of corruption and neglect.

Calling on BJP workers to mobilise voters, Shah said, “We must secure more than 160 seats and ensure Bihar moves forward with development, security, and prosperity.”

Amit Shah’s address signals the BJP’s aggressive campaign in Bihar’s sensitive Seemanchal region.

With a focus on nationalism, development, and security, the party aims to consolidate its position and lead the NDA to a decisive victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.
