Sultanpur: The hearing in a special court on Rahul Gandhi’s 2018 defamation lawsuit was rescheduled for April 22 because the judge was on leave. Vijay Mishra, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, filed a defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi 2018 for allegedly making unpleasant statements against Home Minister Amit Shah.
Mishra’s lawyer, Santosh Pandey, stated that he filed an application with the court requesting the issuing of a non-bailable warrant against Gandhi.

However, because the judge was on leave, the hearing could not occur, and the case was rescheduled for April 22. On August 4, 2018, a complaint was filed against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making offensive statements against Shah at a news conference in Bengaluru in May during the Karnataka election.
In December of last year, the court issued a warrant for Rahul Gandhi. On February 20, Gandhi paused his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at Amethi and went to court, where he was granted bail.
