Haridwar’s Dakshina Kali Temple will host one of the country’s largest Guru Purnima celebrations on July 29, with thousands of devotees from India and abroad set to receive Guru Diksha from Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj.
Swami’s International Media In-charge Shantanu Shukla said devotees have already started arriving in Haridwar for the spiritual event.
Guru Purnima holds a special place in Sanatan tradition, honouring the Guru as the guiding force who leads disciples towards spiritual knowledge and self-realisation.
During the ceremony, Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj will confer Guru Diksha, impart the sacred Guru Mantra and encourage devotees to dedicate themselves to the values of Dharma, spiritual practice, selfless service, moral values, patriotism and the welfare of humanity.
Vedic chants, Rudra Path, yajnas and prayers will fill the Dakshina Kali Temple as saints, Akhara representatives, religious leaders and thousands of devotees gather for the ceremony.
Organisers have further completed final preparations, with devotees, industrialists, political leaders, senior officials and international guests expected to attend and receive Guru Diksha from Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj.
Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj has dedicated his life to promoting Sanatan Dharma, preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, and inspiring national consciousness through religious and social service.
