Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the vision of ‘Developed Gujarat – Developed India’.

In a post on X following the meeting, Patel said he received guidance from the Prime Minister on improving the well-being of the state’s poor, youth, farmers and women, while creating new opportunities for them.

The Chief Minister described the meeting as a privilege and said his interaction with PM Modi had renewed his energy and enthusiasm. He reiterated his government’s resolve to build a prosperous Gujarat and contribute to India’s overall development.

The meeting took place ahead of the National Unity Day celebrations scheduled for October 31 at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat’s Narmada district, marking the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On October 17, Bhupendra Patel visited Ekta Nagar to review preparations for the celebrations and launch Ekta Prakash Parv-2026.

During the visit, Patel chaired a review meeting with officials at Arogya Van and inspected the main parade venue and arrangements for visitors.

The annual National Unity Day programme is held at the Statue of Unity, a 182-metre monument dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that has become a major tourist attraction.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the monument on October 31 before participating in the National Unity Day celebrations.
