The world’s largest political party BJP seems scattered in the country’s capital – Delhi. Because for a long time in the state BJP, many such leaders have been made to sit on important positions in the organization, who have no existence of their own at the grassroots level. But this time the discussion of ending this tradition has given sleepless nights to those leaders. There is a high possibility that this time only those workers will be given a chance, which has the ability to strengthen the organization.
As soon as the discussion about the formation of the new team of Delhi BJP intensified, many party leaders started to become restless. To get a place in the team, many leaders of Delhi BJP are fighting not only in the state office but are also trying to get their way in the offices of top-level ministers to get a place reserved for them. Despite not being present at the grassroots level, many such leaders who are experts in just high-level politics have been getting important responsibilities. However, it is discussed that the current state president is not ready to give place only to sycophants and politically influential leaders in his team. Perhaps this is the reason why the announcement of the team is getting delayed.
Delhi BJP remains undefeated in corporation
If we look at the history of the last three decades of the BJP in Delhi, along with the discussion on the team formation of the state BJP, it is known that the party is getting weaker at the organizational level. This is the reason why since 1993 till date Delhi BJP has not been able to win the assembly elections. However, in the municipal elections held in 1997, it won 79 out of 134 seats and captured it as well. At that time only the BJP government was in power in Delhi.
But the BJP, which was defeated by the Congress in the 1998 assembly elections, went out of power in the 2002 corporation elections too, being reduced to just 16 seats. But in 2007, when the Municipal Corporation was reorganized, the number of municipal wards increased from 134 to 272, and this time the BJP came back to power by winning 164 seats. Five years later, in 2012, its seats were reduced to 138. Troubled by the apprehension of an anti-incumbency wave, in 2017, due to the Amit Shah formula, the party placed bets on new faces, with the return of old councilors, and the result was that the BJP returned to power for the third consecutive time, winning a record 181 seats.

Factionalism and spineless leaders did damage to Delhi BJP
The BJP, which became the reason for the uneasiness of the opposition across the country, continued to weaken in the country’s capital. However, due to betting on the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is winning all seven seats in Delhi twice in the Lok Sabha elections. But when it comes to the Delhi Assembly elections, it fails. The key thing to note is that even in the 2022 corporation elections, the BJP was defeated by AAP. It is believed that factionalism of party leaders, corruption in ticket distribution, and spineless leaders have made the party in this condition. The surprising thing is that even the two organization general ministers of the Sangh, who were posted as organization ministers in the party, could not save themselves from the allegations.
Leaders continued to get appreciation instead of party strengthening
No one else but many central leaders and ministers of the party are considered responsible for the plight of the party which works effectively at the grassroots level. According to the sources, at the time of ticket distribution to the formation of the organization, these leaders pressurize their leaders to be honored with important responsibilities. Perhaps this is the reason why many such leaders have been given important responsibilities in the Delhi BJP, who do not have their own ground presence. Party sources say that this time too, despite not being concerned with the politics of Delhi, not only ministers and national leaders but also many office bearers of the Sangh are pressurizing their “disciples” to give important responsibilities in the organization.
Stronger team is expected this time
If you believe a senior leader who holds important responsibility in Delhi BJP, then this time the Delhi BJP team will be stronger than before in many ways. This time only those workers who have been working on the ground for a long time and have the ability to strengthen the organization will get the responsibility. From skilled strategists to party workers having influence in various communities, these will include. Only those who attend the court of central ministers and leaders will not be given attention this time. Because of this apprehension, the restlessness of the spineless leaders seems to have increased a lot over the last few days.
