Fake Doctor Runs Real Hospital In Noida; Exposed After Failing To Convince Authorities

Authorities have uncovered a shocking case in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where a man without a valid medical degree has been running a fully functional hospital.

The facility, Amrit Hospital, operates in Jewar, Noida, under the name of Nitesh Rana, a resident.

The hospital, registered under the number CMEE25121211, claims to be a legitimate medical institution. Investigations have revealed that almost everything about it is fake.

Officials discovered that Nitesh Kumar is not a qualified doctor.

Fake Degree Scandal

The Uttar Pradesh government had permitted Nitesh Kumar to operate the hospital based on a degree allegedly issued by a university in Chhattisgarh (degree number 184947).

Investigators filed a Right to Information (RTI) request with Chhattisgarh University. The university confirmed that the degree was forged.

The RTI document revealed that the university’s database had no record of the degree, showing a serious verification lapse. Nitesh used fake credentials to obtain government authorisation.

This was to admit and treat patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, a flagship national health programme meant for poor families.

The hospital houses an ultrasound machine and operates it without the required license or qualified radiologists. This violation raises serious concerns about patient safety and regulatory oversight.

Local health authorities initiated an inquiry after receiving multiple complaints about irregularities at Amrit Hospital.

Inspections revealed that the facility had violated several medical norms and failed to maintain basic healthcare standards.

The administration demanded a detailed report on the case. Officials are prepared to initiate legal action against Nitesh for forgery and running an unauthorised medical establishment.

Meanwhile, the sources confirmed that authorities investigated Nitesh earlier.

Furthermore, he also runs another facility named Rana Hospital near Jewar in Bulandshahr.

Authorities are now investigating this hospital for similar discrepancies. The case highlights serious flaws in the medical licensing and verification process in Uttar Pradesh.

Officials have vowed to tighten checks to prevent unqualified individuals from exploiting the healthcare system and endangering public health.
