External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday commended Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a Budget that aligns with the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and addresses the aspirations of the people who have re-elected the NDA government for a third consecutive term.
Jaishankar highlighted that the nine priorities outlined by Sitharaman in her Budget speech will significantly contribute to India’s Comprehensive National Power and enhance its global standing. These priorities include:

3. Inclusive human resource development and social justice
4. Manufacturing and services

7. Infrastructure
8. Innovation, research, and development
9. Next-generation reforms
The External Affairs Minister also noted that the Budget allocates necessary resources to the Ministry of External Affairs to implement key policies, such as:
– Neighbourhood First
– Act East
– Global South
– Facilities for Indians traveling abroad
