As the intense downpour continues to batter Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and other regions of Maharashtra, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited the Emergency Control Room at the Mantralaya on Thursday to assess the situation regarding flooding and waterlogging caused by the deluge.
In addition, he gave the responsible officials instructions to continue working together and coordinating rescue and relief efforts.
Ajit Pawar called the Divisional and Municipal Commissioners from the Control Room to obtain information and gave them instructions to stay vigilant for rescue and relief efforts.
He underscored the significance of maintaining communication with NDRF representatives to guarantee the availability of their aid.

The Deputy CM emphasized that plans should be established to provide food and shelter for impacted residents, and that district agencies and the state government should collaborate with disaster management organizations.
As he advised people to take the appropriate precautions to protect themselves from heavy rains and floods, Ajit Pawar also ordered that citizens receive rescue and aid right away.
He advised the populace to stay indoors unless absolutely required and to report any emergencies to the closest government offices.
Pawar also requested local representatives and workers to provide assistance to affected citizens and those in need.
