Dr Rajeshwar Singh criticises Congress and SP for exploiting the SIR issue, jeopardising democracy and promoting illegal immigrants as voters.

Dr Rajeshwar Singh Slams Congress & SP For Vote-Bank Politics On SIR Issue

On Wednesday, via social media, Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh sharply condemned Congress and SP’s approach. He observed that their silence, or indirect encouragement, on illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigration is not accidental.

It is a calculated strategy designed to convert unlawful migrants into voters, consolidating political power.

Such tactics are wholly unacceptable and perilous for any sovereign, democratic nation.

Dr Singh stressed that electoral rolls form the sacred foundation of democracy and must never serve as political tools.

The SIR process is constitutional, indispensable, and obligatory, aimed at ensuring that only legitimate Indian citizens determine the country’s future.

Illegal entrants must not influence this critical decision. Every patriotic citizen carries the moral and constitutional duty to safeguard this democratic mechanism.

He further remarked that, rather than taking decisive and courageous positions on matters such as national security, social stability, and demographic integrity, Congress and SP indulge in opportunistic appeasement politics.

Whenever democracy faces assault, the nation requires leadership that stands firmly with truth.

The stance adopted by Congress and the Samajwadi Party on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process exposes their priorities: narrow electoral gains outweigh national interest.

Political leaders visit religious shrines and tombs, but they do not engage with the Ram Temple, which symbolises India’s civilisational consciousness, democratic struggle, and constitutional resolution.

Dr Singh clarified that this behaviour is not secularism. It represents deliberate, opportunistic, and unlawful appeasement.

The country demands politics anchored in nationalism, constitutional values, and security, not transient electoral advantage achieved by compromising democracy, cultural identity, and the national interest.

The message is now unequivocal: the nation must choose between prioritising India’s sovereignty and integrity or exploiting illegal vote-banks for political gain.
