Dr Rajeshwar Singh Condemns Offensive Remark On Dimple Yadav; Calls For Protection Of Women’s Dignity

Following an offensive comment directed at MP Dimple Yadav, BJP MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh issued a strongly worded statement on social media defending Indian cultural values and the dignity of women.

In his post, Singh wrote, “In India, a woman is not weak but rather, a symbol of strength, values, and creation!”

He emphasised that Indian tradition venerates mothers, regards daughters as goddess Lakshmi, and holds women in sarees in high esteem.

He added, “Those who remain silent on such barbaric, anti-woman acts, who do not utter a single word even on the insult of our Indian culture, traditional attire like the saree, and the dignity of women, are not only cowards but also anti-India, soulless, and valueless beings hiding behind the shield of pseudo-secularism!”

Without naming anyone, the BJP leader criticised those who insult women’s dignity and Indian culture, stating that they are ‘neither devotees of culture nor of the nation’.

He also aimed at individuals and organisations who remained silent on such acts, calling their inaction ‘a crime’.

Dr Singh further compared the ‘filthy mindset’ behind such remarks to ideologies that have destroyed the culture of countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, where women face child marriage, lack of property rights, and diminished legal recognition.

He stated, “Every Indian should oppose the filthy mindset of these maulanas, and their institutions should also be banned, because this is the very mindset that has destroyed the culture of countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, marriages of 9-year-old girls, women denied property rights, and their testimony not even valued in court!”

Quoting the Rigveda’s Devi Suktam, he reaffirmed India’s cultural reverence for women: “Indian culture has always regarded women as symbols of strength, reverence, and leadership.”

The Rigveda itself says, “Be the empress,” meaning a woman is not just a homemaker but the presiding deity of the entire society.

The MLA concluded his statement with a sharp rebuke, “Is this the 21st century or a barbaric era? Those who remain silent are even more guilty!!”

Dr Singh’s remarks have sparked discussions across political and social platforms, with many highlighting the need to maintain dignity in public discourse, especially towards women in public life.
