Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to review the state’s development and plan future projects.
Sharing his visit on X, Sharma appreciated the Prime Minister’s ‘visionary leadership and unwavering support’. He added that under PM Modi’s guidance, India has ascended globally, while Rajasthan, over the past 18 months, has steadily overcome development challenges.
Sharma emphasised that the double‑engine government is committed to empowering every farmer, youth, woman and underprivileged citizen, ensuring justice, dignity, and opportunity for all.
He noted that the Prime Minister assured continued and enhanced support for Rajasthan’s growth in the coming years, and conveyed gratitude on behalf of the entire state.
A day before meeting the Prime Minister, CM Sharma held discussions with senior union ministers in Delhi to review ongoing Central schemes and request support for Rajasthan’s projected initiatives:
Agriculture & Rural Development: With Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the CM discussed priorities, including the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, PM Gramin Awas Yojana, and agricultural innovations such as improved groundnut varieties.
He also sought supervisor deployment at the Gram Panchayat level and support for strengthening the state’s castor oil industry.
Funding Under MGNREGA: Sharma expressed gratitude for the release of ₹4,384 crore under MGNREGA during the current financial year.
Housing: Officials highlighted progress under PMAY‑Gramin. Minister Chouhan confirmed that the government will approve additional houses once the data verification is complete.
He also announced that 7.46 lakh homes will be constructed in Rajasthan under the PM-Janman Yojana.
The meeting saw the participation of senior officials, including MoS Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary, Agriculture Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi, RD Secretary Shailesh Singh, and ICAR DG Dr ML Jat.
Chief Minister Sharma later met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss renewable energy expansion, urban infrastructure, Jaipur Metro Phase‑2 and e‑bus services.
He also requested central assistance for interstate power transmission upgrades and urban housing.
During his meeting with Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil, Sharma reviewed progress on the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, designed to bolster irrigation and drinking water access across Rajasthan.
Celebrating a favourable monsoon season, CM Sharma noted that Rajasthan’s reservoirs have rapidly filled.
He highlighted campaigns such as Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi and Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan as instrumental in improving groundwater levels.
This high-level engagement between CM Sharma and the Prime Minister, alongside detailed discussions with various ministries, signals a sustained focus on holistic development in Rajasthan, spanning agriculture, housing, water management and urban infrastructure.
