Three Laborers Died Due To Electrocution In Sewer Tank

The family members requested action against the restaurant operator, claiming that laborers died because the operator and others involved were forcing them to work without taking necessary safety precautions.

Three laborers died due to electrocution while cleaning tank on Saturday. Laborers were cleaning a tank at the newly constructed Bikaner restaurant in front of Prem Mandir in the Vrindavan Kotwali area.

District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Pandey and Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey, SP City Dr. Arvind Kumar, and other police administrative officers reached the spot on information

It is noteworthy that they inaugurated the showroom of the country’s famous Bikaner about ten days ago. On Saturday, under the direction of contractor Yogesh, some laborers were finishing the incomplete works.

Simultaneously, three laborers operating in the next showcase tank were electrified, resulting in their unconsciousness. The medical staff pronounced the three laborers dead after they were hastily taken ambulance to a hospital

Authorities have identified Amit Gupta, son of Shivanand, and Prince, son of Awadhesh Gupta, both of Ballia, as the deceased. The identity of the third deceased is unknown.

Prince and Amit, who passed away, are uncle and nephew. The witnesses to the accident stated that a laborer had died at the aforementioned showroom from an electric shock around ten days prior.

Nevertheless, influence helped to put an end to the situation.

The SSP said that the exact reason for death would only get clear after postpartum. “Did they pass away from electric shock or for some other reason? “The offenders will face consequences,” he stated.
