Rajya Sabha MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma launched a fierce political offensive against the Congress, asserting that the party’s discomfort with Lord Ram has pushed it onto the streets, while the BJP continues to govern with divine grace and public mandate.
Addressing a gathering in Bithoor near Kanpur, Sharma said the opposition cannot tolerate the presence of ‘Ram’ in the Centre’s flagship rural employment reform, popularly referred to as the ‘Ji Ram Ji Bill.’
Sharma stated that the Modi government introduced the ‘VB-Ji Ram Ji’ Bill to end corruption and seal leakages that thrived under opposition regimes.
He said the legislation guarantees up to 125 days of employment within villages, ensuring that farmers and labourers no longer migrate in search of work.
According to him, the BJP believes in serving Ram through service to the poor, while Congress merely practices politics of protest and obstruction.
Recalling Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sharma described him as a towering statesman whose bond with party workers only strengthened with every election.
He said Atal Ji never believed in distance from the masses and credited grassroots workers for every political victory.
Sharma cited his own mayoral election to underline how Vajpayee’s personal involvement inspired cadres and created historic wins.
Sharma also invoked the legacy of Jana Sangh founder Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee, accusing Congress of weakening national unity by enforcing permit systems even within Indian territory.
He said Mukherjee’s sacrifice laid the foundation for the removal of Article 370, a promise fulfilled under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Home Minister Amit Shah’s execution.
Antyodaya in Action Under Modi Government
Highlighting Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy, Sharma said the Modi government actively translates ‘Antyodaya’ into action.
He listed schemes such as PM-Kisan, housing for the poor, gas connections, electricity, toilets, and Ayushman Bharat as proof that PM Modi is realising Deendayal’s dream of uplifting the last person.
Targeting past Congress governments, Sharma said India once faced humiliation as Pakistan and global powers issued threats without consequence.
He contrasted that era with the present, asserting that Prime Minister Modi responds decisively, citing Operation Sindoor as a clear message that India neither fears nor forgives aggression.
Praising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Sharma said Uttar Pradesh now provides employment at home and enforces law and order with iron resolve.
He credited Yogi’s leadership for transforming the state from chaos to confidence, even recalling how the Chief Minister prioritised public duty during personal loss in the pandemic.
Sharma concluded by urging unity over division, asserting that this is not an era of appeasement but of nation-building, guided by the ideals of Atal, Deendayal, PM Modi, and Yogi.
