Renowned storyteller and spiritual leader Devki Nandan Thakur has praised the exemplary preparations under Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership for Maha Kumbh 2025.
He highlighted the government’s unprecedented efforts in ensuring world-class arrangements for roads, water, and other facilities, emphasizing CM Yogi’s direct involvement in overseeing the progress.
Thakur lauded the double-engine government’s dedication to the welfare of Sanatan Dharma, expressing confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi.
He noted their joint efforts are significantly benefiting the state and the nation by promoting the values of Sanatan Dharma.
Announcing the ‘Sanatan Dharma Sansad,’ scheduled for 27 January at Maha Kumbh, Thakur explained the primary goal of this event is to establish a ‘Sanatan Board’.
This proposed board would work to ban religious conversions, protect temple properties, and ensure better management of religious institutions.
Raising concerns over the use of temple funds, Thakur alleged that these resources are being diverted to activities contrary to Sanatan Dharma’s principles, such as funding Haj pilgrimages and church construction.
He argued that the funds should instead utilized for Gurukuls, Gaushalas, hospitals, and assistance to the needy.
He expressed hope that the establishment of the ‘Sanatan Board’ would address these issues effectively.
Thakur stressed the need for organized efforts to safeguard and promote Sanatan Dharma.
He urged followers to actively assert their rights, attributing the current neglect of their concerns to a lack of collective demands.
Expressing optimism, Thakur affirmed his belief that the current government would take strong measures to advance and protect Sanatan Dharma’s values and heritage.
