In a startling revelation on Tuesday, Delhi Minister Atishi alleged a concerted effort by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to target senior members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi asserted that she, along with co-party workers Saurabh Bharadwaj, Durgesh Pathak, and Raghav Chadha, are being lined up for potential arrests by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
“I have been informed that ED raids will soon target our residences, leading to our subsequent arrest,” Atishi declared. “The BJP’s strategy is clear: dismantle the AAP leadership one by one.”
According to Atishi, she was personally approached to join the BJP as a means to safeguard her political career. She alleged that the alternative presented was imminent arrest within the next month. “A close associate conveyed to me that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to incarcerate every AAP leader,” she claimed.
The recent arrest of Arvind Kejriwal on charges related to a liquor probe prompted Atishi’s accusations. She accused the BJP of attempting to sow fear within the AAP ranks, anticipating a collapse of the party following Kejriwal’s detention. However, Atishi remained resolute, vowing to stand with Kejriwal despite any potential persecution.
“I urge the BJP to proceed with their actions,” Atishi challenged. “We will not be intimidated. Even if they incarcerate us, the fight for justice will continue.”

Atishi’s claims surfaced after the ED implicated her and Saurabh Bharadwaj in court proceedings, citing Kejriwal’s purported statements regarding their involvement in the alleged liquor scandal. Atishi maintained that the information provided to the ED was not new, signaling a potential prelude to legal action against her and Bharadwaj.
Arvind Kejriwal’s recent confinement in Tihar jail has not deterred AAP’s resolve. Despite his imprisonment, Kejriwal remains committed to governing Delhi, reaffirming the party’s unwavering stance against the BJP’s alleged machinations.
In response to circulating rumors about a digital rift between him and Kejriwal, Saurabh Bharadwaj clarified that there had been no such development. “To all those spreading fake news, I and @ArvindKejriwal ji both follow each other,” Bharadwaj stated emphatically. “Yesterday’s Ramlila Maidan Rally was a super hit. Delhi people are with Kejriwal.”
