Delhi Crime Branch Cops At Kejriwal’s House Over His MLA Poaching Claims

CM Arvind Kejriwal received a notice at his home on Friday from Delhi crime branch officers regarding his recent allegations that the BJP was attempting to remove seven AAP MLAs from office. According to news agency ANI, Kejriwal was asked to produce documentation for his claims by Delhi Police. Kejriwal claimed on social media last week that the BJP had gotten in touch with seven MLAs from his party. His claims were instantly refuted by the BJP, and the Delhi crime branch has since taken up the matter.

“This shows how politically desperate Kejriwal has become. This unfounded allegation by him is an attempt to keep himself politically alive. The allegation that the BJP wants to break away MLAs of the ruling AAP, having 62 out of 70 MLAs in Delhi, shows his mental bankruptcy,” Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said when Kejriwal made the allegation.

The ruling party in Delhi had claimed that the BJP, unable to win elections there, was brewing “dirty conspiracies” to overthrow the Arvind Kejriwal government.
The Enforcement Directorate, the government organization looking into claims of corruption in the Delhi liquor policy case, is also putting pressure on Mr. Kejriwal.
