He noted that such awards reflect Modi’s global leadership and also boost India’s diplomatic influence.
BJP Hails Modi’s Growing Global Popularity
BJP leader Amit Malviya praised Modi’s rising global appeal. He called the 23 global honours a symbol of India’s global ascent.
Malviya, head of the BJP’s National Information and Technology Department, shared the news on social media. “No Prime Minister of India has ever had such a profound global impact,” he said.
He stated that this success is not just about one man. “It reflects India’s economic strength, strategic clarity, and diplomatic assertiveness. None of this would be possible without the trust of 140 crore Indians in Modi’s leadership,” Malviya wrote on X.
Malviya said India’s diplomacy has changed. “For the first time, India’s foreign policy is unapologetically India First — clear-headed, confident, and consistent,” he said.
He added that the world now respects this new India.
Malviya listed 23 global honours Modi received since 2016. These include Saudi Arabia’s Order of King Abdulaziz in 2016 and the UAE’s Order of Zayed in 2019. The US government awarded Modi the Legion of Merit in 2020.
He also named Bhutan’s Order of the Druk Gyalpo in 2021 and Egypt’s Order of the Nile in 2023. France gave the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, and Greece awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Honour in 2023.
Russia honoured Modi with the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. Kuwait awarded him the Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer. Guyana, Barbados, Nigeria, and Dominica also honoured him last year.
Malviya said these awards show the world’s recognition of Modi’s leadership and India’s growing power.
