Mahakumbh Nagar: The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a cyber police station to protect devotees at Mahakumbh 2025. The initiative aims to prevent fraud using AI, the dark web, and social media platforms. Officials are ensuring the online safety of an estimated 45 crore visitors.

A team of expert cyber officers is monitoring online activities 24/7. These specialists are tackling fake websites, fraudulent links, and suspicious social media accounts. Their mission is to safeguard devotees and provide a secure digital environment during the grand event.

Action Against Fraudsters and Fake Websites

Under SSP Rajesh Dwivedi’s leadership, the team has identified 44 suspicious websites. Officers have already taken action to prevent cyber scams. Fraudulent activities on platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram are also under scrutiny.

Authorities have launched an awareness campaign to educate pilgrims about online safety. Devotees can call helpline number 1920 or rely on official government websites ending in “.gov.in” for accurate information.

CM Yogi Ensures Cyber Vigilance

CM Yogi Adityanath has prioritized security during Mahakumbh. He instructed officers to protect devotees from online threats. Mobile cyber units with laptops are actively addressing complaints about fake websites and online frauds.

With round-the-clock vigilance, the cyber security team ensures a safe and seamless digital experience for millions attending Mahakumbh 2025.
