Controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav has found himself amidst another storm after a video of him allegedly assaulting fellow YouTuber Maxtern (Sagar Thakur) went viral, prompting the filing of an FIR against Yadav. The incident sparked outrage on social media, with many demanding Yadav’s arrest and urging Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to intervene.
In his defense, Yadav clarified that he was provoked by Thakur over several months, culminating in a threat to harm Yadav’s parents. He explained that the altercation took place in a clothes shop where Thakur allegedly orchestrated the confrontation, equipped with a hidden camera and microphone. Yadav asserted that he was not accompanied by a large group, contrary to rumors, and claimed that his associates were trying to restrain him rather than participate in the altercation.
Yadav further justified his actions by stating that Thakur’s threat to his family triggered his reaction. Despite attempting to reconcile afterward, Thakur filed an FIR against Yadav, questioning why more severe charges weren’t applied. Yadav attributed the backlash against him to a perceived bias by certain groups.

Thakur’s complaint accused Yadav of attempting to cause grievous harm and death threats. In response, Yadav contested the severity of the alleged assault, stating that breaking someone’s spine is not feasible in the manner described. He admitted to issuing threats but claimed they were made in the heat of the moment.
Expressing regret for the incident, Yadav acknowledged his tendency to become easily angered but maintained that it did not reflect his true character. He apologized to those who were offended by his actions and dismissed claims of influencing the legal process.
An FIR has been lodged against Yadav and others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including rioting, unlawful assembly, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation.
