Conspiracy to derail Muri Express near Manauri railway station foiled

A major incident was averted  when a conspiracy to derail train no  (18309) Up Muri Express going from Sambalpur to Jammu Tawi, was averted due to the intelligence of the loco pilot.

A major incident was averted  when a conspiracy to derail train no  (18309) Up Muri Express going from Sambalpur to Jammu Tawi , was averted due to the intelligence of the loco pilot . The incident took place near  Chhabilepur village under  Puramufti police station area , on Sunday.

It is reported that  when the Muri Express was passing  through  village Chhabilepur  around 2.30 pm, 70 meter long stone which was placed on the railway track hit the engine. Immediately the loco pilot took a quick action and some how stopped the train and a major incident was averted.

Later police was informed which rushed to the spot and started investigation. It was clear that the stone was deliberately placed on the track. There are broken stones lying on both sides of the railway track.

Railway officials believe that a major accident was averted due to the alertness of the loco pilot. Railways is considering it as a big conspiracy.

Later an FIR was lodged  with Puramufti police station on the complaint of  Anuj Singh, Senior Section Engineer in NCR, Manauri. He informed that the train remained under control otherwise a major accident would have happened.
