Completion Of Corridor At Bade Hanuman Temple In Prayagraj

The corridor at the Bade Hanuman Temple, located on the banks of the Sangam, is now complete. The temple, a major spiritual site, attracts millions of devotees every year. One of the most significant rituals performed here is the Shodashopachara Puja, which is believed to fulfill desires and remove obstacles from life.

Mahant Balveer Giri Ji Maharaj, the head of the temple and Shrimath Baghambari Peethadhishwar, explained the importance of this ritual. He revealed that during his recent visit to Prayagraj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the Shodashopachara Puja at the temple. As part of the ceremony, the PM was presented with a Gauri Shankar Rudraksha from Lord Hanuman’s garland.

Mahant Giri expressed gratitude to both PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their contributions to organizing a grand Mahakumbh. He highlighted its significance in showcasing India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.

The Mahant also praised PM Modi for performing the puja despite his busy schedule. He described the Prime Minister’s involvement as a “Yajman” in the ritual, which includes offering 16 sacred items to Lord Hanuman. These offerings, including kumkum, roli, rice, akshat, and sindoor, are believed to bring prosperity and remove obstacles. Since Lord Hanuman is known as the “Remover of Obstacles,” the puja is considered especially powerful.

After the ritual, the PM was given a special Gauri Shankar Rudraksha. This sacred item, symbolizing Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is one of the temple’s most revered offerings. Mahant Giri also noted the humility and respect PM Modi showed, especially his appreciation for the priests after the ceremony. His demeanor was described as inspiring to all present.

PM Modi also showed interest in the newly completed corridor and its facilities. He engaged with temple officials to understand the arrangements for managing visitor flow. Mahant Giri described the PM as a caring guardian, concerned not only for the temple’s devotees but for the well-being of the nation.

The Mahant praised CM Yogi Adityanath for his relentless dedication to the development of Prayagraj. He noted that no leader had shown as much care for the city and the region as CM Yogi. “In my lifetime, I’ve seen many rise to great positions, but none like him,” said Mahant Giri.

Whenever CM Yogi visits Prayagraj, he makes a point of visiting the temple and actively participates in the rituals, according to the Mahant. “For us, he is like an elder brother,” he added. His leadership, focusing on the welfare of the entire state, stands out.

Mahant Giri also shared an important message for the millions of pilgrims expected to attend the Mahakumbh. He emphasized that maintaining cleanliness and the sanctity of the sacred site is a shared responsibility between the government and the pilgrims.

“I urge all pilgrims to avoid discarding clothes, flowers, or plastic into the rivers or at pilgrimage sites after bathing,” he said. Highlighting the spiritual significance of Prayagraj and the Ganga, he noted that even chanting the names of Prayag and Ganga cleanses sins. He urged devotees to respect the sanctity of the site, saying, “If you honor the pilgrimage, it will honor you.”

He reminded everyone that the holy waters of Prayag grant liberation to millions during the ritual baths, offering spiritual rewards to all, regardless of their knowledge or background.
