The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will hold a special Cabinet meeting in Prayagraj on Wednesday, 22 January.
An official release stated that all 54 ministers of the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet have been invited to the meeting, which is set to discuss and approve several important proposals and schemes for the state.
The meeting will begin at noon at the Triveni Sankul in Arail. Officials selected the venue to minimize disruption for pilgrims visiting the Sangam.
Additionally, the officials originally planned the meeting at the Mela Authority Auditorium but shifted the location to avoid VIP security disrupting pilgrim movement.
After the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath, along with his Cabinet, will participate in religious rituals and take a ceremonial holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
The ministers will travel from the Arail VIP Ghat to the Sangam by motorboat.
This marks the second occasion where CM Yogi will lead his Cabinet to the Sangam.
In 2019, during the Kumbh Mela, the Chief Minister, along with his ministers, saints, and Akhada Parishad President Narendra Giri, took a ceremonial dip at the sacred site.
Reports confirm that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and other key ministers such as Suresh Kumar Khanna, Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantra Dev Singh, Baby Rani Maurya, and Jaiveer Singh, among others, will participate in this holy ritual.
All 54 ministers, including those with independent charges and state ministers, are likely to join.
