In the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana, women belonging to poor and middle-class families will get an amount of one thousand rupees per month. By empowering women, efforts are being made to bring them into the role of leadership through their participation in environmental protection, de-addiction, and other social campaigns.
Chief Minister Chouhan was transferring the scholarship amount to the accounts of Ladli Lakshmi daughters of the state at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal today. Chief Minister Chouhan transferred the scholarship amount of Rs 107 crore 67 lahks to 3 lakh 33 thousand 842 Ladli Lakshmi girls with a single click. Awards were also given to 5 Ladli Lakshmi girls for their excellent achievements in the state-level programme. Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai was present in the programme. The program was broadcast through webcast and other means in the entire state. In Panchayat and Anganwadi centers in different districts, sisters, and daughters also got associated with this program virtually.
There are more than 44 lahks Ladli Lakshmi daughters in the state. Year-by-year progress and the increasing importance of the scheme in the last 16 years were also given in the program. The Chief Minister digitally distributed scholarship amount to more than 3.25 lakh girls studying in classes 6, 9, 11, and 12.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Ladli Lakshmi Yojana started in the year 2007, has worked to bring change in the lives of girls. Chief Minister Chouhan said that change has to be seen from providing Rs 16,000 in two installments before and after delivery to women of lakhs of families, reservation of 50 percent posts in local bodies, and 30 percent reservation for daughters in police recruitment.
