Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Says If He Can Provide Support To His Sisters, He Would, Without Hesitation

In a thoughtful and compassionate move, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Mukhyamantri Charan Paduka Yojana to provide support and dignity to tendu leaf collectors. The scheme aims to benefit approximately 15 lakh collectors by offering them slippers, sarees, water bottles, and now umbrellas. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to uplift and empower the marginalized sections of society.

During a recent Vikas Parv event at Sarai in Singrauli district, the Chief Minister personally distributed charan padukas, sarees, and water flasks to tendu leaf collectors under the scheme. The event also witnessed the inauguration of various development projects worth over 693 crores, including the Bhoomi Pujan of several others.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Chouhan expressed his empathy for the tendu leaf collectors who used to endure hardship while walking barefoot in the forests, pricked by thorns. He emphasized that if he, as the Chief Minister, can provide support to his sisters, then he would do so without hesitation. The Mukhyamantri Charan Paduka Yojana seeks to offer basic necessities to the collectors, making their lives more comfortable and dignified.

Chief Minister Chouhan also hailed Ladli Bahna Yojana as a revolution that has transformed the lives of many women in the state. Through this scheme, women have gained confidence, respect, and financial independence. The government’s focus on empowering women extends to providing them with opportunities, reservations in various fields, and ensuring their safety and security.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of educational institutions, including Science and Commerce classes at Government College Parka and Sarai, and the opening of sub-tehsil offices and colleges in the region. Chief Minister Chouhan stated that the government is dedicated to providing quality education to children and is focused on their holistic development.

Additionally, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to providing essential services to the poor, including free food grains, housing, health services, and more. Schemes like Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu Adhikar Yojana aim to provide land and housing pattas to those in need.

The state is witnessing rapid development and progress in various sectors, with efforts to improve infrastructure, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Chief Minister Chouhan highlighted the government’s efforts to uplift the underprivileged sections of society and provide them with a better quality of life.

The Mukhyamantri Charan Paduka Yojana and other initiatives underline the government’s dedication to ensuring that every citizen of Madhya Pradesh can lead a life of dignity and prosperity. The Chief Minister’s vision of a more inclusive and empowered society is setting a positive example for other states, with a focus on the welfare and progress of all sections of society.
