Chief Minister Naidu Meets Central Ministers, Seeks Support For Andhra Development

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu continued his engagements in the national capital on Friday, meeting key central ministers to discuss various developmental initiatives and seek support for the state’s economic growth.

On the second day of his visit, CM Naidu held significant meetings with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Discussions with FM Sitharaman centered around enhancing collaboration on welfare and economic development projects in Andhra Pradesh.

Accompanying CM Naidu were Union Ministers including K Ram Mohan Naidu (Civil Aviation), Pemmasani Chandrasekhar (Rural Development & Communications), and Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma (Heavy Industries).

Later, CM Naidu also met Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda.

JP Nadda expressed optimism following the meeting, highlighting discussions on the shared vision for ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Andhra Pradesh’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

In response, CM Naidu reiterated his commitment to collaboration and shared development goals, emphasizing the importance of advancing Andhra Pradesh’s growth trajectory.

Earlier, CM Naidu engaged with Prime Minister Modi and a group of six Cabinet ministers, continuing discussions on strategic issues and developmental priorities for the state.

He also had a productive discussion with Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, focusing on sustainable growth initiatives.

Addressing concerns over fiscal challenges, CM Naidu sought the Centre’s assistance for critical projects including the Polavaram National Irrigation Project, infrastructure development in Amaravati, and industrial incentives.

He urged for special financial assistance to bolster essential sectors like infrastructure and water management projects, aligning with regional development needs similar to Bundelkhand.

Reflecting on the meetings, CM Naidu expressed confidence in working closely with the Centre to overcome challenges and propel Andhra Pradesh towards comprehensive growth and prosperity.
