Chhattisgarh CM and Union Minister holds roadshow

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister (CM) Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by Union Minister and BJP candidate Dharmendra Pradhan, orchestrated a vibrant roadshow in Jharsuguda, Odisha, setting the stage for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. Dharmendra Pradhan, contesting from the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency after a hiatus of 15 years, is gearing up for the polls scheduled on May 25.

CM Sai, addressing the media, hailed the roadshow as historic, expressing confidence in BJP’s performance in Odisha. Asserting their dominance, he proclaimed BJP’s victory in the majority of Lok Sabha seats, confident in the party’s ability to form the government in the state. Union Minister Pradhan echoed this sentiment, attributing BJP’s success to the Modi wave sweeping across the nation and specifically in Odisha, foreseeing a clean sweep of all 21 seats in the state.

Earlier in the day, former BJD leader Reena Tanty and her husband, Motilal Tanty, joined BJP, further bolstering its ranks. Dharmendra Pradhan welcomed the new entrants, hailing their inclusion as the beginning of a new chapter in Odisha’s political landscape. He emphasized the significance of their involvement, along with other notable figures like Prabodh Tirkee, in reshaping the state’s political narrative.

With assembly and Lok Sabha elections slated simultaneously in Odisha across four phases, beginning on May 13 and concluding on June 1, the political arena is set for intense competition. The results, scheduled to be announced on June 4, will determine the fate of the contending parties. In the previous 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJD emerged victorious with 12 seats, closely followed by BJP with 8 seats, while Congress secured only one seat.

As the countdown to the elections begins, all eyes are on Odisha, where political dynamics are evolving rapidly, with parties strategizing and alliances shifting in a bid to sway voters. The forthcoming polls promise to be a decisive moment in shaping the future trajectory of the state’s governance and political landscape.
