The Rameshwaram Cafe
A bomb blast at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru’s Kundalahalli today, injuring nine people, according to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The explosion, captured on CCTV, prompted a swift response from authorities. Initially, the cause of the blast was under investigation, but after the arrival of a team comprising the National Investigation Agency (NIA), bomb squad, and forensic experts, it was confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) was responsible.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed reporters, stating, “There’s information indicating that around 12:30 pm, an explosion occurred involving a bag. The investigation is ongoing, but it appears to be an IED. Further investigation is underway.” Authorities have filed an FIR under the anti-terror laws, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act.

Just spoke to Rameshwaram Café founder Sri Nagaraj about the blast in his restaurant.
He informed me that the blast occurred because of a bag that was left by a customer and not any cylinder explosion. One of their employees is injured.

According to Surya, the blast stemmed from a bag left behind by a customer, contrary to initial speculations about a cylinder explosion. Surya emphasized the urgency of clear answers from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in addressing the incident, especially considering its potential implications for public safety in Bengaluru.
