The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday carried out a major overhaul of its Madhya Pradesh media wing, appointing nine state co-media in-charges, 33 state spokespersons, and 41 media panellists.
State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal approved the revamp to strengthen the party’s communication network and expand its outreach.
The formal list was released by the state media in charge, Ashish Agarwal.
The appointments include around 11 sitting MLAs, notably former ministers Archana Chitnis (Burhanpur) and Usha Thakur (Indore).
Other legislators joining the media team include Kunwar Singh Tekam (Sidhi), Gaurav Pardhi (Balaghat), Neeraj Singh Lodhi (Jabalpur), Sandeep Jaiswal (Katni), Santosh Varkade (Jabalpur), Dilip Parihar (Neemuch), Sanjay Shah (Harda), Dr Yogesh Pandagre (Betul), and Chhaya More (Khandwa).
The BJP also inducted senior leaders and former MLAs, such as Kalsingh Bhabar, Yashpal Singh Sisodia, Ghanshyam Pironiya, Ramlal Rautel, Rajendra Bharti, and Hitesh Vajpayee, to provide seasoned guidance and strengthen media operations.
Party officials further highlighted that the restructuring will create a more agile and professional media setup, enabling rapid responses to political developments and showcasing the government’s achievements.
By integrating elected representatives, the BJP aims to leverage their credibility, public engagement, and grassroots connections to reinforce communication strategies ahead of the 2028 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Across the state, the reshuffle reflects the party’s strategic approach to combine experienced leadership with media expertise.
The BJP expects the new structure to strengthen its ability to manage narratives, engage voters effectively, and communicate its policies and achievements with clarity and authority, while positioning the party for a stronger performance in the upcoming elections.
