BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar constituency in Lucknow Rajeshwar Singh, making a post on X, expressed anger over incidents of violence against minorities in Bangladesh.
Making a post on microblogging platform X, Rajeshwar Singh portrayed his concern on declining population of Hindus in Bangladesh.
Mentioning demographic imbalance, he wrote, “while the Hindu population was 30% in 1947, it has now come down to just 8.5%. This is a clear evidence of the serious effects of demographic imbalance.”
He further wrote about Bangladeshi Hindus leaving country on large scale, saying, “more than 2 lakh Hindus are forced to leave Bangladesh every year. Between 1964 and 2013, more than 1 crore Hindus have migrated from Bangladesh due to religious persecution.”

Rajeshwar Singh also shared a video of him speaking at a padyatra. Public and member of Hindu organization gathered at a Jan Akrosh Padyatra staged strong protest against the violence and unrest in neighbouring country. The event saw impassioned call to end incidents of violence against minorities and uphold religious freedom.
Since 2013, over 4,000 attacks on Hindus took place, with more than 500 temples destroyed in the last 22 years, according to participants. Addressing the crowd, a political leader condemned the targeting of members of ISKCON.
Furthermore he condemned the detention of ISCKON Priests for alleged sexual violence.
The political leader stated “arresting 4 brahmacharis, including Chinmay Das Prabhu Ji, without any reason and seizing the bank accounts of 16 members is not only a violation of their constitutional rights but is also a direct attack on religious freedom.”
“We have to raise our voice for the safety of Hindus on international forums. We have to demand to stop these atrocities happening in Bangladesh and abolish discriminatory laws,” BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh added.
The padyatra concluded with a resounding message: ensuring the safety and rights of Hindus is not just a community issue but a broader question of humanity’s existence.
