The staff at PS IGI Airport in Bengaluru apprehended a fraudster linked to a fake passport and visa racket, involving a fraud amounting to Rs 5 lakh. The case, registered under FIR number 68/22 u/s 420/468/471/120B IPC at PS IGI Airport, disclosed that the culprits enticed victims with the promise of discounted visas for foreign countries.
In a breakthrough, agent Muskaan alias Manpreet Kaur was previously arrested, unveiling the collaboration of their racket with an agent based in Dubai. Subsequently, the accused’s bank account, containing Rs 1.5 lakh, a portion of the defrauded sum, has been frozen. Investigations revealed that the remaining funds were transferred to the fraudster’s relatives.
The alleged mastermind, identified as Ameer Jaan, son of Govind Raj from Bengaluru, Karnataka, exploited innocent individuals to fund a lavish lifestyle. The complaint filed by BOI (Bureau of Immigration) staff resulted in the registration of FIR No. 68/22 under sections 420/468/471/120B of IPC and 12 PP Act at PS IGI Airport. The case originated when Harvinder Singh Dhanoa, traveling with a fake Canadian visa, was apprehended.
During the probe, Muskaan alias Manpreet Kaur’s arrest uncovered substantial payments and transactions, including funds sent to the account of another individual, Sadiqullah Beg, son of Amir Jaan. The unfolding details shed light on the intricate web of deception orchestrated by the fraudsters in pursuit of their illicit gains.
