Prayagraj: Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan, the MP from Nagina and president of the Azad Samaj Party, visited Prayagraj on Saturday. Chandrashekhar explained that the Azad Samaj Party did not contest all seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections due to national interest. However, from 2022 to 2024, the party has been preparing in Uttar Pradesh. The party organization has now decided to contest strongly in all 10 by-election seats. To support this effort, they have been engaging with workers for the Phulpur Assembly by-election.

The party aims to fight these elections strongly with the support of its organization and workers. Addressing the nameplate controversy on Kavad Yatra routes, he criticized the government for covering mosques and tombs with cloth along the routes, arguing that religious places should remain uncovered and that the government should focus on improving law and order instead.
