Ayodhya’s King Expresses Disbelief, Says ‘Never Thought That I Would…’

The ‘King of Ayodhya’, expressed his disbelief that he would witness the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Prabhu Ram in his lifetime.

Bimlendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, the ‘King of Ayodhya’ and a member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Theertha Kshetra Trust, expressed his disbelief that he would witness the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Prabhu Ram in his lifetime. He acknowledged that Ayodhya had lost its vibrancy, but with the consecration of Ram Lalla, the town is on its way to regaining its lost splendour

He said, “I never thought that I would witness Prabhu Ram’s ‘pran pratishtha’ in my lifetime”.

Reflecting on Ayodhya’s past, Mishra mentioned the ancient curse associated with Mata Sita, who, after questions arose about her integrity upon returning from Lanka, had cursed Ayodhya, cursing the town a lack of happiness in the town. Mishra believes that with the ‘pran pratishtha,’ this curse has been lifted.

Affectionately known as ‘Pappu Raja’ or ‘Pappu Bhaiyya’ by residents, Mishra, who had previously contested the Lok Sabha election on a BSP ticket in 2019, expressed optimism about Ayodhya’s transformation into one of the world’s premier religious and tourist destinations. He highlighted the surge in air travel to Maharishi Valmiki International Ayodhya Airport (MVIAA) and anticipated the launch of a helicopter service by the state government, further boosting tourism, business, and employment opportunities.

Anticipating a significant increase in pilgrims and tourists after the ‘pran pratishtha,’ Mishra mentioned the infrastructure enhancements, including widened roads and expanded railway stations and bus depots, to accommodate the expected surge in visitors. He predicted that over one lakh pilgrims would visit Ayodhya every day, making it imperative to prepare and enhance facilities to manage the increased demand.
