Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to visit the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and witness the grand arrangements for herself. Sarma, after taking a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam, took a moment to call out Banerjee’s earlier remarks and invited her to experience the spiritual grandeur of the event firsthand.
Sarma, who was accompanied by his family at the Maha Kumbh, praised the meticulous arrangements made by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his administration. Speaking to the media, Sarma criticized opposition parties, stating, “The Congress party and the INDIA alliance are anti-Sanatan. I would urge Mamata Didi to come to Maha Kumbh, witness the arrangements, and take a dip at the Sangam.”
He also expressed his deep belief in Sanatan Dharma’s enduring significance, declaring, “Sanatan is the past, Sanatan is the present, and Sanatan is the future of the world.” Sarma shared his profound spiritual experience on social media, posting images and videos from his visit and describing his dip at the Triveni Sangam as a divine connection to faith, spirituality, and heritage.
A Spiritual Journey For Suvendu Adhikari And Other Prominent Figures
West Bengal’s Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, also took part in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, arriving at the VIP Ghat from Bamrauli Airport. He described his experience as a significant spiritual moment, saying, “As a Hindu, a Sanatani, and a son of Bharat Mata, taking a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam after 144 years feels like receiving ‘Amrit.’ Prayagraj is truly the land of the Amrit Sangam.”

Adhikari credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s efficient leadership for the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh, adding that the local administration’s efforts were exemplary.

On the same day, industrialist Rajesh Adani, Managing Director of Adani Enterprises, along with his wife and family, also took part in a ceremonial dip at the Triveni Sangam. The Adani family expressed their gratitude to CM Yogi Adityanath, with Rajesh Adani calling the experience “divine” and his wife describing it as a “deeply spiritual and incredible experience.”
Rohan Sinanan, a member of the delegation from Trinidad and Tobago, shared his excitement about attending the Maha Kumbh, noting, “It is a privilege to be here. I believe this grand event should be shared not just with the people of India but with the entire world.” Sinanan also stressed the importance of focusing on global sustainability in the future.
