Arunachal Pradesh has come up with a decision to enact law to prevent offences like paper leaks and other malpractices during examination conducted by various recruitment agencies.
The sources from Chief Minister Office revealed that a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu has taken decision to bring ‘The Arunachal Pradesh Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act 2024’ to prevent crimes like question paper leaks during examination by recruitment agencies.

The Arunachal Pradesh Assembly’s second session, which starts on July 19, will feature a draft bill that includes severe penalties, jail, and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore. The bill is intended to be discussed and passed into law.
According to the CMO official, once the bill is passed into law, it will guarantee an impartial and equitable recruitment process for all positions within the Arunachal Pradesh government and identify any unethical behavior.
The proposal to incorporate 13 different categories of Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) jobs into the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service and Arunachal Pradesh Secretariat Service Common Cadre was also agreed at the meeting.
This move was necessitated to bring proper and systematic human resource management in the APSSB for a free and fair recruitment process.
