HAL boasts on its website that the Rudra’s hover performance is “excellent,” designed for a high rate of climb with sufficient safety margins in case of a single engine failure. This makes it suitable for operations from unprepared surfaces and slopes. The Rudra can be equipped with a 20 mm turret gun, a 70 mm rocket system, and air-to-air missiles, making it a versatile and capable asset for the Indian Army.
