Anant Ambani And Radhika Merchant Backs Indian Craftsman As They Get Special Bandhani Made For Them

To honor the rich tapestry of Indian history, the Ambani family has commissioned skilled female artisans from Kachchh and Lalpur to create a stunning dupatta in intricate weaving for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s upcoming union. The guests will be shown the dupatta, which is a fusion of two types of handicrafts: Paithani from Maharashtra and Bandhani from Gujarat.

Initiative to safeguard traditional craftsmanship

This endeavour, through the Swadesh initiative, safeguards traditional craftsmanship and ensures its perpetuation for future generations while also empowering local communities. These talented craftspeople devote their lives to their work, maintaining traditional methods and giving life to stories that are as old as the earth itself.
For those who are not familiar, Swadesh is homage to India’s traditional artists and craftspeople, representing a real attempt to preserve and present the rich legacy of our country’s timeless arts and crafts. In keeping with the tenets of “Made in India,” Swadesh honors and supports the talented people—men and women alike—who contribute their craftsmanship to the enrichment of the nation’s culture.

The divine union of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant

The wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, are scheduled to take place at the Reliance Greens in Jamnagar from March 1 to March 3, 2024.
The festivities for Anant and Radhika’s marriage started with the Gujarati custom known as Lagan Lakhvanu. As the families come together in love, the wedding invitation, known as the Kankotri, will be written with reverence and offered to the gods as a holy gift of invitation, asking for blessings for the impending union. With the auspicious ceremony of Lagan Lakhvanu, Anant and Radhika, who are deeply rooted in custom and value their cultural heritage, also began their journey together, honoring the sacredness of rituals.
