In an election rally held in Kumarght, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the BJP’s commitment to prioritize the development of tribal areas in Tripura. He highlighted the significance of the recent agreement signed with Tipra Motha, asserting that it addresses the concerns of the state’s tribal community comprehensively.

Shah underscored the measures aimed at fostering harmony between communities and fostering overall development in Tripura as outlined in the agreement. He criticized the CPI(M)-led Left Front for allegedly spreading misinformation and obstructing progress.

Drawing a historical contrast, Amit Shah accused the Congress and the Communists of neglecting tribal representation in higher positions, while praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appointing the country’s first tribal president, thus honouring the community’s contributions.

Highlighting the BJP government’s financial commitments, Amit Shah noted a significant increase in the budget allocation for the Ministry of Tribal Affairs under PM Modi’s leadership. He cited an increase from Rs 24,000 crore to Rs 1,25,000 crore, signaling the government’s dedication to tribal welfare and development.
