Allahabad High Court Sets Hearing Date For Petition Against PM Modi’s Election

The Allahabad High Court granted a petitioner time to seek legal opinion regarding the maintainability of an apology application for the late filing of an election petition against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the MP from Varanasi. The next hearing is scheduled for October 18. Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh presided over the case.

The court noted that the application for the delay is not inherently admissible. The petitioner is present in court and should take legal advice on the matter. The election petition was initially presented on September 3, with a report indicating a 19-day delay. The petitioner filed an application apologizing for this delay.

Petition Challenges Modi’s Lok Sabha Election
