Allahabad High Court has reserved the decision on the petitions filed regarding the ownership of Gyanvapi Swayambhu Vishweshwar Nath Temple of Varanasi, after completing the hearing on Friday.
The above said order was passed by Mr. Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal , after hearing the arguments of both the parties. On Friday, arguments were presented in the court on behalf of UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee and the Hindu side.
Five petitions related to the Gyanvapi controversywere heard in the High Court. Three of these petitions are related to the maintainability of the case filed in the Varanasi court in 1991. This case was filed in Varanasi court in 1991. In this 1991 case, there was a demand to hand over the disputed premises to Hindus and to allow worship there. Whereas two petitions have been filed against the survey order of ASI.
