Adani Row: Congress To Hold Protest

Congress officials on Adani row
Speaking to the news agency ANI, the Congress general secretary, KC Venugopal said, “Government at the centre is using common people’s money to support their closest friends. Congress party has decided to have nationwide agitation across districts of the country in front of LIC and SBI offices on Monday.”
As per the party officials, the exposure of LIC and public sector banks like the SBI to the Adani Group has notable implications for middle-class and service-class savings.
Slamming the firm, Congress said that now the time has come to change LIC’s slogan from zindagi ke saath bhi, zindagi ke baad bhi (remain with life, beyond life) to zindagi ke saath thi, ab Adaniji ke saath hai (remained with life, now with Adani).
“This is the situation of LIC and the prime mentor is silent on the issue and you will not hear a word from him,” said Pawan Khera asking on whose instruction LIC increased its investment in Adani Group.
Further, he said, “In our childhood, there was a song ‘bhanwre ne khilaya phool’… phool ko le gaya Hindenberg. 20 years of effort from Narendra Modi from the time when he was the chief minister now got busted. Had this been a matter between Modiji and Adaniji, we all would have remained silent.”
